Welcome to the blog of Media4Development!

Welcome to the blog of Media4Development. This blog is mostly intended to facilitate the communication between international partners but you are most welcome to look around and learn more about our activities and plans. If you are a journalist or policy maker from one of the partnering countries and you find something of interest from this blog, do not hesitate to contact us - hopefully we will find a way for you to join some activities during the three years of Media4Development.

Media4Development is a cooperation between organisations from five new EU member states - Estonia (Mondo and Estonian Public Broadcasting Company), Czech Republic (People in Need), Slovakia (MVRO), Latvia (Green Liberty), Lithuania (House of Europe) - and two NGOs from old member states: VIKES (Finland) and BAAG (UK/Ireland). The project intends to give journalists from new member states a chance to learn more about global challenges and development cooperation. Lasting three years, the project will enable journalists to attend thorough trainings and workshops to be able to cover global issues in their work; policy-makers will be invited to round-tables and given updates about development issues through bulletins; the public will be made more aware of EU development cooperation though public events and activities etc.

We are looking forward for a very exciting three years and hope to see you at our events!

Media4Development is a joint project between Mondo (Estonia), Estonian Public Broadcasting Company (Estonia), People in Need (Czech Republic), MVRO (Slovakia), Green Liberty  (Latvia), House of Europe (Lithuania), VIKES (Finland) and BAAG (UK/Ireland) funded by the European Commission.
